In the Nursery
Scientists say that the air inside our homes can be several times more polluted than the air outdoors. According to the EPA, houseplants have
been shown to reduce levels of indoor pollutants introduced by household cleaners and appliances. Through their natural process of respiration,
houseplants filter out toxins while increasing oxygen levels and moisture, leaving the air cleaner and healthier to breathe. When you come into Reds,
you'll find a great selection of house/office/tropical plants. Don't see what you're looking for? Special orders are welcome! We offer potting and repotting
services, too—call to find out more.
Winter is prime time for planning next year's garden. Nothing can lift your spirits more on a snowy day than curling up in front of a warm fire with a

any questions you might have. Then come in to Reds; we can help you with something as simple as sprucing up your landscape with a few annuals
or as involved as adding a pond or waterfall. Whatever you dream up, we can help make your dream a reality! Call now to schedule a professional
landscape consultation for spring.

get your supply of firewood home on your own, we'll be more than happy to deliver it to you. When you call or stop by, be sure to ask about scheduling
and pricing.
As we begin a new year, be sure to replace the batteries in your smoke detectors—even if your detectors are hard-wired. All hard-wired detectors
have battery backup features, so make sure you replace your batteries. Also, clean the units completely. Condensation, dust, and insects are three of the
most common things that can cause detectors to malfunction. And don't forget to replace any smoke detector more than 10 years old; new research from
the National Institute of Standards and Technology indicates that the sensors within smoke detectors lose their sensitivity with age. For more information
about smoke alarm safety, visit the US Consumer Product Safety Commission Web site.
