Houseplants and Tropicals

Spring is a great time of the year. Everything outside starts to come to life after a long winter's sleep. Plants start to blossom, and everything begins to look beautiful. Through the use of houseplants, we can bring the beauty of the outdoors into our homes and offices.

At Reds, we have had customer requests for houseplants, especially in the winter. So, a little over a year ago, we made the commitment to start carrying house/office plants. We all pulled our ideas together and designed some shelving units to display the new plants. Some of the new plants went directly into the store, and some went into greenhouse #1, which is right off the store. This past January, I took a trip to Florida to check out some of the growers. I found some great growers and brought in some gorgeous plants.

When you come into Reds, you will find a great selection of house/office/tropical plants. I find some of the unusual varieties really cool, along with Bromeliads, cactus, and plants that have brighter leaves. We also offer the more traditional plant like Pothos, Sanseveria, and Ivy. I give the plants a weekly pruning and cleaning when necessary. I feed them on a monthly basis to keep them healthy. Our supply is constantly changing so stop in often.
